This 150-km-long route lasting 5 days will introduce you to the land of lakes. During the trip, you will visit as many as five of the most beautiful lakes in Lithuania. The Fishing Museum will reveal the history and peculiarities of fishing in lakes. As you climb the 36-meter-high Mindūnai Observation Tower, you can enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lakes and forests from up above. Do not forget to visit the Anykščiai Treetop Path for an unforgettable experience of walking along the tree tops.

Dubingiai Hillfort also goes by the name of Castle Hill. Make sure to climb it and take the cognitive path from the former island and now a peninsula, to enjoy the beautiful views of one of the longest, largest and deepest lakes in Lithuania.

2. Lake Asveja

With the length of 21.9 km, Lake Asveja is the longest lake in Lithuania. In the summers, one can observe the unique color of the lake as it gains an electric green shade.

3. Lakes Juodieji Lakajai and Baltieji Lakajai (Black and White Lakajai)

The Lakes Juodieji Lakajai and Baltieji Lakajai are two lakes connected by Pertenis Strait. The lakes are situated in the Labanoras Regional Park, where a wide variety of rare species of animals and plants can be found.

4. Mindūnai Observation Tower

Mindūnai Observation Tower is a 36-meter-high metal structure which is the highest in Lithuania. Its upper part has an observation deck intended to view the vistas of Labanoras Regional Park, Lakes Baltieji Lakajai, Juodieji Lakajai, Siesartis and its islands, and the famous Labanoras Forest.

5. Fishing Museum

Fishing Museum presents exhibitions of various taxidermy mounts and furs collected by Antanas Truskauskas who had hunted in the five continents of the world. He has gifted the museum with 120 taxidermy mounts of different animals and birds, which is but a third of his private collection. All the animals and birds exhibited in the museum were hunted down by Antanas Truskauskas himself. His collection of taxidermy mounts is the largest in Lithuania.

6. Lake Siesartis

The name of Lake Siesartis is related to the word "sroventi", meaning "to flow" as several rivulets, e.g. Malkėstas, Kirneilė and a stream from Lake Baltieji Lakajai, flow into Siesartis.

7. Lake Alaušas

Lake Alaušas is surrounded by Rukliai and Ąžuolaušis Forests from the east and meadows and fields from other sides. In the summers, the water is clear as glass up to the depth of 4–6 m. Even though the water is deep, the body of the lake is large and wide; thus, the wind mixes the water well and its temperature ranges from 2°C to 8°C.

8. Anykščiai Treetop Path

Anykščiai Treetop Path is the first path to allow its visitors to walk at the height of the tree tops in the Baltic States and the entire eastern Europe. It is the first building of such structure in Lithuania and the Baltic States and the first and largest in the entire eastern Europe.
