The present-time wooden church was built in Palūšė sometime between 1747 and 1757. The construction was funded by Reverend Juozas Baziliauskas (J. Stockis-Bazilevskis) and the church was built on his parents’ land. People say that the builders used only axes. The rectangular church was built in folk architecture style and has a hall, two steeples and a triple apse.
