The Longing for Freedom Sculpture in Šventoji. Fisherman’s Daughters is a sculpture that was placed in Šventoji back in the Soviet times. It depicted three sisters waiting for their father to come back home from the sea. When Lithuania gained its independence and the fear of repercussions vanished, Sculptor Zuzana Pranaitytė revealed that the three sisters symbolized the three Baltic States that were looking longingly at the free world just beyond the sea in hopes to one day join it.
